Our Story

Titanium Legal began operations in 2003.

With a fresh attitude and new look into what process service could be, Titanium Legal pushed past the minimal standards of process service, becoming a trusted and reliable service partner for debt collection agencies, law firms, government and property management companies across the Pacific Northwest.

A fresher, bolder, and more innovative Titanium Legal is breaking through the social stigma surrounding process serving, while showing financial sectors and legal corporations that we can do the job better, faster, and more professionally than our competitors. We are dedicated to the principal staples of what process serving has been since the formation of the United States Constitution.

Max Hawes

CEO
Max Hawes, CEO of Titanium Legal, has over a decade of experience in the legal and financial sectors.
 
He began his career as a Process Server in Lane County on his 18th birthday, and after college, advanced from a Commercial Banking Assistant to a Commercial Lending Officer in just three years. Max then returned to the family business, where he held key leadership roles, including President of Titanium Legal and CEO of KG Hawes (now MetaLynx).
 
In 2024, Max purchased Titanium Legal from his family, underscoring his commitment to provide innovative legal support services in the process service industry.
 
Max earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Sewanee: The University of the South and an MBA from the University of Oregon.
 
In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his fiancée Mackenzie and spending time outdoors skiing, biking, and surfing with family and friends.

Derek Shaw

President / COO

With over 20 years of experience in the Revenue Cycle Management industry, Derek is a trusted partner to some of the largest hospitals in the U.S.

Derek is responsible for leading the innovation of Titanium Legal Services, and our well-known technology products offered by our sister company, MetaLynx:

  • VoizTrail (call auditing)
  • Enlyte (data translation), and
  • Ignyte (data enrichment)

Derek obtained both his Bachelor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business.

He also serves as a volunteer board member for SuqurX, a company that patented 3Psecure technology which protects sensitive patient data from fraud so health records can be shared throughout the ecosystem while consistently maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Chris DeLess

CTO

Chris joined the Hawes Group in 1999 and has been instrumental to the growth of the Hawes Group companies. His contributions have introduced a number of technologies and procedures to handle issues ranging from security and integration, to matters of efficiency and convenience. He has expanded our web initiative by providing online tools and reporting for our clients, as well as developing intranet knowledge stores and applications to automate processes and create efficiencies that continue to give us our competitive edge.

Chris also oversees the architecture and development of all Titanium Legal Service products, and the proprietary technology in use with its sister company, MetaLynx.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical consultation for IT Managed Services offerings (i.e., Networking, Data Center, Security)
  • Collaborating with IT operations and executive leadership to support organizational IT needs.
  • Providing direction and representation to business venture partners (Onshore/Offshore) in support of KG Hawes initiatives.
  • Providing engineering consultation and direction.

Mackenzie Shannon

Marketing Manager

Mackenzie has been an integral part of the team for three years. With a bachelor’s degree in English, from the University of Oregon she skillfully applies her expertise in communication and content creation to develop impactful marketing strategies.

Her background in client success within collections and the printing industry further enhances her ability to connect with clients and elevate the company’s presence in the legal sector.

Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys an active lifestyle that includes skiing, hiking, running, and playing soccer. She also has a creative passion for sewing. At home, she is accompanied by her two dogs and a cat, who bring energy and joy to her daily life.

Zac Braun

Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager for Titanium Legal, Zac brings a robust background in Collections and Litigation to the team. With experience as a contract labor foreman, Zac’s hands-
on approach and leadership skills are integral to the  efficiency and success of Titanium Legal’s daily operations. 

Zac is dedicated to ensuring the company’s team of professional process servers meet the highest standards in the industry.

Outside of his professional role, Zac is an avid outdoorsman who successfully backpacked the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. He has a strong passion for soccer, having played with a local professional team, Lane United FC, and coached at his former youth club, Eugene Metros FC. 

Zac studied at Lane Community College on a scholarship and continued his education at multiple schools, including the University of Oregon.

Christine Henderson

COmplaince Manager

Christine Henderson is a seasoned Legal Compliance Manager with a diverse background that spans various facets of the legal system. With a Ph.D. ABD in Public Policy and Leadership Management, and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration, Christine brings a unique blend of academic rigor and practical experience to her role.

Christine’s 15-year tenure as a Bailiff at King County Superior Court gave her a deep understanding of courtroom procedures and legal processes.

Her eight years as a Professor at Central Washington University in the Department of Law and Justice honed her legal theory and practice expertise, enriching her ability to educate and train the next generation of legal professionals.

Additionally, Christine’s hands-on experience as a Clerk Intern at the United States Supreme Court, United States Department of Justice in the Civil Litigation Recovery Unit, and as a Litigation Records and Documents Clerk at Foster Pepper has equipped her with a well-rounded perspective on the legal landscape, enhancing her proficiency in legal compliance management.

Throughout her career, Christine Henderson has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a passion for upholding the principles of justice and compliance.

Her experience working in various roles within the legal system has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of legal processes and regulatory requirements. 

Shawn Hall

Legal Specialist

Shawn Hall joined Titanium Legal in 2023 as a newcomer to the process serving industry, bringing a strong work ethic and a passion for learning. Before entering this field, he built a reputation for hard work and dedication across various roles, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in every endeavor.

In addition to professional pursuits, Shawn is an avid skier and enjoys strategic board games like chess, which enhance his problem-solving and strategic thinking skills. He is enthusiastic about embracing new challenges and looks forward to making a meaningful impact in the process serving industry.

Brigitta Hawes

Client Services Manager / UI Designer

Brigitta graduated with a degree in Multimedia Production and Design, and dual majored in Electronic Media at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism.

Her responsibilities include providing support for the Titanium Legal’s leadership team in reaching their strategic client objectives.

For the last 10 years, Brigitta has regularly taken the lead in the designing of the user interfaces (UI) for many of our sister company’s, KG Hawes (NKA Metalynx) products. Her most recent UI endeavors were the creation of Titanium Legal’s new Client Portal and Server App.

Brigitta has been a part of the collection and process service industry for almost 40 years.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two adult children and creating mixed-media projects.
