Evictions

Help Managing the Process

Tenant evictions in the state of Oregon can take between 6 – 8 weeks. An eviction is for the possession of the property only.  It does not compensate a landlord for monies owed (that would require a separate small claims filing); it does however allow the landlord to evict a current tenant. While the eviction process can vary from county to county, they generally follow the same standard process:

  1. A notice is posted to correct the issue (e.g., late rent, loud noise, etc.).
  2. If the tenant fails to comply, a complaint is filed and served with the county court.
  3. If requested, a court hearing is held approximately 7-10 days after filing.
  4. If the court grants it, a writ of execution is posted.
  5. Possession of the property is returned to landlord.

Titanium Legal can help manage the eviction process for you every step of the way!
